How do I prioritize my user research?

You can't serve everybody, so a good piece of advice from fellow Service Designer Daniel Tuitt that you can follow is to "Help first those who you can impact the most". You can watch a 2-minute summary of this idea here.

An interesting framework that can help

Elisabeth Graf, shared an interesting framework from Jeanette Fucella in a Linkedin post that can help a lot:

Four-quadrant matrix showing how to choose between research and design approaches based on problem clarity and risk. The vertical axis goes from low problem clarity at the bottom to high problem clarity at the top. The horizontal axis goes from low risk on the left to high risk on the right. The quadrants are labelled: “Ship it and Measure” for high clarity and low risk, “Design Heavy” for high clarity and high risk, “Research Light” for low clarity and low risk, and “Research Heavy” for low clarity and high risk.

You can learn more about this framework in a 6-minute read article called "Building a framework for prioritizing user research"
