Why joining presentations of peers is a secret weapon?
In short: joining presentations of other students gives you a lot of ideas on how to sell, contextualize your project bettern that you can steal and adapt to your next presentation.
As a learner it can feel at first that coming to all the presentations from your peers is time lost. Outside, of the respect argument that if people watch your presentation, you should give them favor back, it can be a secret weapon.
Seeing all other presentations gives you these elements:
- Slides inspirations: you see slides that you can steal, like how other people show their synthesis, contextualize their project, etc.
- Critics preview: you get a preview of the feedbacks and critics to be aware of.
- Other approaches: you get to see how other people took other approaches to the same task and might find quicker, simpler ways to get to the goal.
