What skills do you need to become a service designer?

In short: the only "skill" you really need is curiosity. Outside of that if I had to pick on thing to start with, learn project management skills.

What does a junior service designer do?

In short: often you'll work on smaller projects or assist the team on bigger ones.

Is it possible for a junior service designer to do freelance work?

Yes. The challenge will be to find work. Platforms like Upwork, Fiverr and Toptal can help for that if you are not a great networker.

How can we get more junior Service Design positions?

In short: Agencies are a great place to start with.
